Keynote freezing

I hope you found a solution. I just had the same problem, and after looking at the answers here, I found a solution. So I thought I would post it here in case anyone else needs it!

I held down the icon, chose ‘create new presentation’ and when Keynote opened it wasn’t frozen. So then I just typed “test” in the first slide, went back out and when I tried opening my other presentations again, it was working!

I went to Files; clicked on the keynote prez and shared it to Notes. Opened it from Notes and everything works.

I had the same problem. However, get out of Keynote and either hold down a finger on the icon or on your magic keyboard use two fingers when clicking on the keynote icon. Select to open another presentation. This allowed me to then access another and go back to what I was working without any issues. Hope this helps.

We see when attempting to open a presentation stored in iCloud Drive, the Keynote app freezes and becomes non-responsive.

To confirm, does this happen only with a single specific presentation, or any presentation you try to open from iCloud Drive? Additionally, if you open a Keynote file stored locally on one of your devices, does the same thing happen?

Exactly what has happened to me. I now have an open presentation which is completely unresponsive every time I open keynote. I can’t open another presentation or start a new one. It’s a complete pain. Any other solutions as I’ve tried all the ones mentioned above and no joy

Me too surely this is bug. Keynote on my $2k iPad is unusable

Keynote totally frozen everytime I open it on my ipad pro 2020 - its stuck in the last presentation I was working on and I really need to edit it for a deadline tommorrow!
