Keynote freezing

whenever I open a keynote presentation from iCloud Drive, the keynote app opens and freezes. I can’t go into edit mode, change slides, go back, not even starting presentation mode.

this is also happening on my iPad. Both are running on the latest iOS and the apps are updated.

I hope you found a solution. I just had the same problem, and after looking at the answers here, I found a solution. So I thought I would post it here in case anyone else needs it!

I held down the icon, chose ‘create new presentation’ and when Keynote opened it wasn’t frozen. So then I just typed “test” in the first slide, went back out and when I tried opening my other presentations again, it was working!

Hope this helps :)

Hi caaroflores,

We see when attempting to open a presentation stored in iCloud Drive, the Keynote app freezes and becomes non-responsive.

To confirm, does this happen only with a single specific presentation, or any presentation you try to open from iCloud Drive? Additionally, if you open a Keynote file stored locally on one of your devices, does the same thing happen?

Let us know these details, and we'll continue from there.

Cheers!
