iTunes won't run on Windows 10

I'm running iTunes on Windows 10. Windows and iTunes are both up to date. For the last couple of months I've had a lot of trouble getting iTunes to run on my computer. I've had to click the icon several times before it would finally come up. However, today I've clicked on the icon at least a dozen times over a period of 10 minutes or so and it still won't come up. So, I ran task manager to see if it's showing up but not showing itself. It doesn't come up in but it does come up in Background Processes - between 5 and 9 processes under iTunes, one of which is the actual program. But it still isn't displaying or printing. I've tried ending the process and restarting it, but it just keeps coming up in background processes, not in apps. This final problem started after I updated iTunes yesterday.

Windows, Windows 6

Greetings ghostrider1948,

We understand that you are having some difficulty opening iTunes on your Windows computer, and we'd like to help. Begin by restarting your computer if you have not already. If that does not resolve the issue, follow the guidance found here:

Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later

Take care.
