itunes 12.12 broken

Just installed iTunes 12.12 on Windows 10 via Apple Software Update and on first run it claims files are missing and so won't start. Same result on another computer. Anyone else see the same issue? More to the point is Apple aware of a problem and working on a fix?

The only option that seems to work is to uninstall version 12.12, install older version https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1816?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US which will not like your old library but if you Apple Software update and update ONLY to 12.11 it will work. IGNORE the 12.12 update and other updates until the situation is resolved by Apple.
