Cannot disable automatic Software Update

In the Software Update preferences (under System Preferences), when I click "Advanced", all options are checked, so automatic updates are turned on. I'd like to turn that off, but the checkboxes are greyed out; I am unable to uncheck anything. I suspect this was somehow locked by the ICT staff of my company when they delivered me my new iMac. However, I use this machine at home for my home office and I really prefer to disable this here and engage the updates manually. I have administrator privileges on this machine. Can someone help me out? Perhaps something through sudo on the command line?

Just for clarity: in the App Store there are similar preferences, and there I *can* uncheck them. However that does not have an effect on the Software Update preferences under System Preferences.

Best regards!

It appears from what has been stated - this computer is Owned by the Company and they have decided to Enrol this computer in a Mobile Digital Management Service ( MDM ).

The moment that was done - they control the computer, what can be installed and what can not be installed plus to what level the user can make System Wide Changes.

There is nothing the User can do to circumvent this Control except to speak with the Company IT Department and plead you case.
