Whatsapp saves contacts but not to Mac

Hi,

On my Mac, I primarily use MS Outlook for contacts (Exchange) and the contacts auto-sync to The Mac Contacts app. If I create a new contact on either it immediately shows up in both, and also my iPhone Whatsapp app. However, if I create a new contact using Whatsapp on my phone, it doesn't sync the other way, i.e. I can't find it anywhere on my Mac. So, if Whatsapp isn't saving a new contact to the contacts visible in Outlook or Contacts, where is it saving it to? Access to Contact by Whatsapp on my phone is enabled.

The reason I want to know is so I can change setting such that a contact created in Whatsapp will sync to my Mac somehow.
