Trying to get out of guided access but iPad showing a small window of the full keyboard and not just the numbers so I can't enter the 6 digit password.

I am using Guided Access on an iPad running iOS15. Trying to get out by triple clicking but the password entry option gives me only a partial view of the full keyboard rather than just the numeric options so I cannot enter the 6 digit password. Any clues how to resolve as I can't even update the software when Apple realise they have SNAFUd.

There is bug in iPadOS15 Guided Access of which we see many complaints in these communities. At present there is no fix; the workaround to release Guided Access is a forced restart of the device:

On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

You would be well advised to submit a bug report to Apple using the Product Feedback page:

Until a sufficient number of reports are received, Apple might not assign resources to fixing the problem.
