What is broken if I can log into icloud.com, but my Mac shows ACCOUNT_UNAVAILABLE


This is what I see when I log in to icloud from my Mac. I just fixed the regions on my iCloud from India to US and added payment information and it no longer logs me into iCloud?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.6

Are you seeing that you're able to sign into your Apple ID on your Mac, or does this appear when signing into your Apple ID outside of just the iCloud section of your Apple ID in System Preferences?


Just so we're on the same page, do you use the steps of the following resource to sign into iCloud on your Mac?

If those are the steps that you use, but still see this same message, let's try setting up another user on your account to test and see if you can sign in there. If you need assistance with setting up another user on your Mac, check out the steps here:

If you're still unable to sign in with a test user account, let's try connecting to a different network to see if that's what is preventing this from occurring.

It took me 3 days to figure it out.

None of the answers I found online or the answers I got from Apple Support worked. This is the only way that got it to finally work.

I managed to fix this issue using a different Apple device.

I installed the latest beta version of iPadOS 15 and logged into iCloud through it, that's when I was able to actually accept the terms and conditions.

Then I logged in on my new mac and it worked.

This issue needs to be fixed because not everyone has an extra apple device to use.
