for some reason the phone doesn’t play the alarm sound I setup
Only "Stand By you" or not other tones?
If "Stand By You" is a song then it has to be on your device not on the cloud.
The song needs to be on the device and not on iCloud see the pic below for the Alarm clock to play a song.
I have the same issue. I followed the instructions, the song is downloaded AND added to my library. The phone only vibrates and does not play sound at all. I am not looking at it (because, FaceID) it’s not on silent, and my ringer is all the way up. iOS is up to date (15.0.2 on iPhone 12Pro). Any other suggestions? My husband is having exact same issue on iPhone 13Pro.
I’m having the same issue with my 12 Pro. I’ve done all the “fixes” as well! Phone is up to date for software.
