Apple Car play

I have a brand new car which supports Apple car play but I cannot get it to work, help!

CarPlay troubleshooting: If you need help with CarPlay - Apple Support

Ensire the iPhone is running iOS 15.0.1, and ensure the infotainment system is running the most current firmware available from the vehicle manufacturer.
