apple music

Hi! My iphone is no longer allowing me to add or delete music or add current music to any playlist. It gives me the option, but then it never carries out the action. However, I am able to add and delete music on my computer, the added music does not show up on my iPhone however. I am not sure what the cause of this problem would be.
