Part of Watch faces disappear?

Woke this morning, Watch series 6 goes on as usual. I look down and Mickey and watch hands are gone. The same for Chrono face and Minnie. In other words—-the complications were there but the actual watch face disappeared. That never happened over years of use on my first (series 1) Apple Watch. Watch and iPhone 11 Pro iOS are updated too. What is going on? Could it be a watch hardware issue?


Watch faces reappeared after I swiped through all of them and went back to mickey.

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.
