I recently got the Animal Revolt Battle Simulator app on iPad for my grandson. Within a couple of days he has racked up $25 of in app purchases. In app purchases is turned off in Settings and the iPad is set to always require a password for purchases. Neither of these settings seem to have an effect. on ARBS. How does this happen and can it be fixed?

At this point I would contact Apple direct and discuss the issue. There is a link at top of page (get support) to contact Apple. Another document that may help is:

All of the appropriate settings (per the article above) to NOT allow purchases were set. ARBS still allowed purchases and with no notification or request for password.
