iOS 15

Updated my phone this morning to iOS 15 and now I need some help. When someone send me a Snapchat it says on my Apple Watch that “none is writing to you” or “none send you a snap”. Eeh, these people who snaped me got names. I’ve tried to everything, turned off the phone/watch, deleted Snapchat, turned on/off the notifications but not working. Before iOS 15 it worked fine and I saw their names on my watch! What now?

Hello Alexjj1 !

I’m currently experiencing the same issue as you. In my opinion this is due to the fact that before IOS15, we were used to the fact that Snapchat notifications had « Snapchat » as a title, and then « xxx is typing » as a content (bellow the title). But since IOS15, Snapchat decided to remove « Snapchat » from the title and replace it with the name of the sender, and so the content bellow is only « is typing ». And to be honest, this looks Better than before when you look at it through your phone (because you can easily tell that the notification come from snapchat only with the icon instead of writing it in the title too), but they didn’t consider the fact that the Apple watch do not show the notifications title when it pop. That’s why i think we don’t see the sender’s name. So it’s more of a Snapchat issue in my opinion.

Hello Alexjj1,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand the importance of being able to see the sender name for Snapchat notifications. It sounds like you’ve taken some really great troubleshooting steps so far, and we'd like to help.

Are you experiencing this behavior with any other apps like Messages, or other third-party apps notifications?

Is this happening on your iPhone and Apple Watch or just the Apple Watch? Also, Is there any updates available for your Apple Watch?
