Homepob mini has audio delay when used as a speaker for MacBookPro M1 Laptop

Does anyone know know if there is a solution for this problem? If I watch things from any applications on my computer the audio is delayed by about 2 seconds. This is super frustrating considering this was going to be my audio solution for my desk setup. I just purchased this a few hours ago. I will likely return the product if there is no solution to this issue.


I will say that the audio quality is really good and that makes this issue way more frustrating, I believe that this could be a great audio solution if it can work properly.

The AirPlay protocol introduces an element of delay. The TV app adds a corresponding delay to the video so that content should be in sync. Other apps, such as VLC, may allow you to include a similar offset, however HomePod isn't suitable for real time interaction such as games or music production.
