Can't airprint from iPhone

I am trying to airprint from my iPhone 6s running ios 14.8 to an epson wf-3720 airprint enabled printer.

Both are connected to the same wifi network. The printer prints from my macbook using the same network. When I try to print from my iphone I get a message saying no airprint printers found. I have shut off and restarted the phone, printer, and wifi router. any suggestions of what to try next.

iPhone 6s, iOS 14

Not sure if this would help but I have been having AirPrint issue on my Epson ET-3760. It used to work but all of a sudden the printer would not shows up on AirPrint. After trying every fixes I could find on the internet, I decided to look at the printer's manual. On the section of AirPrint it said, "Note: If you disabled paper configuration messages on your product control panel, you cannot use AirPrint." After I turn the paper configuration message back on, the AirPrint works again. Good luck on your search.

Hi there gcc53,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. Thanks for reaching out to us with this trouble you're having with AirPlay on the iPhone 6s. We're happy to help. So that we can determine the best course of action, we'll need a little background info. Are you experiencing this issue using certain apps, or any app you attempt to print from? We ask this because the Apple Support article states "Not all apps support AirPrint." You can get more info on this feature here:

Use AirPrint to print from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Have a great day!

Reason why you can print from Mac, but not iPhone, is that beside AirPrint, on a Mac you can also use WiFi printing (also known as IP printing) for which on iOS you would need an app provided by the Epson.

AirPrint uses Bonjour service (known as zero configuration protocol), same as Home Sharing or Airplay. If you can use Home Sharing and AirPlay on your Home Wi-Fi but not AirPrint, then very likely your printer has AirPrint service disabled even though it is supporting it: About AirPrint.

Test Home Sharing and or AirPrint. See:

Use Home Sharing to share media from a computer to other devices

Use AirPlay to stream video or mirror the screen of your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

If either Home Sharing or AirPlay feature work, then check your printer's documentation how to enable AirPrint feature.
