launchpad is not working

launchpad is not working

When I am clicking on launchpad it's not opening up and if it does then I am not able to swipe left and right to see all the applications.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.6

It sounds like you are running into an issue when attempting to use Launchpad, is that right?

Since noticing this issue, has your Mac been restarted?

Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac

Does this happen in a new user as well?

Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

Also, be sure you are following these steps to use Launchpad: Use Launchpad on your Mac.

Hi, Yes after restarting my Mac it's working fine. I have one more question I have read at quite few places that we should not shutdown Mac instead to put it on sleep, is this correct? Please advice. Thank you!
