Scanning to PDF with a Samsung SL-C460fw color laser did not work

Still on Catalina 10.15, the Samsung scanner app (from the V1.10.0 of March 2020) as well as its executable Samsung Scanner of February 11 2020 was producing a corrupted PDF file (the easy workaround did consist in a PNG file converted to PDF with Apple standard Aperçu). There is no update of the Samsung Scanner for the 10.15 on the HP website, but there is one for the 11.x OS. The ugly workaround consists in using this more recent executable of January 19 2021 and it works! Just download and mount the .dmg file. With the finder, go to MAC_Installer -> MAC_ICDM -> Data -> Payload -> Samsung Scanner.app (right click to enter the subdirectory) -> Contents -> MacOS and select the Samsung Scanner executable . Rename the /Library/Image Capture/Devices/Samsung Scanner.app/Contents/MacOS/ Samsung Scanner executable of February 11 2020 to 'Samsung Scanner 10' and replace it by the new January 19 1921. And it should work. I did not use the installer in order to install the new version which is supposed to work with MacOS11 and not my current MacOS10.15 operating system. I hope that if will help a few people.

Thank for your reply. I already did that without success. The Samsung Scanner 1.10.00 filter is producing a corrupted PDF file (but a correct PNG file and other types). The more recent 1.11.00 filter works and even on older OS like my Catalina 10.15.7 . I did not find a solution while googling and that is the reason why I posted this ugly solution.
