i need to sign into my Apple ID from a different apple device and to do that i need the authentication code that it sends to my phone that i can not access right now. what do i do?

Are you SURE that you didn’t setup any additional “trusted NUMBERS”
They will “drop down” if you click “Didn’t receive code” on the Login screens (or some similar wording).

Sorry … loosing a phone is quite stressful.
It it helps … as long as you have a secure passcode set (not easily guessed) and which hasn’t been compromised; your data remains quite secure.
