All of a sudden my browser, Chrome or Safari freezes when trying to attach a file. For example when using Gmail and trying to attach a file to my email. This has not happened before. I have a MacBook Pro with M1(2020) chip. The OS is Big Sur 11.5.2. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

First, try closing all apps and restarting your MacBook Pro to see if that resolves this.

If the issue persists, start up in safe mode and test with Safari:
Start up your Mac in safe mode

Thanks for the response. After I posted this question, I cleared browser history and restarted the macbook. I dont know if one or both helped but it is fine now.
