google maps Apple CarPlay microphone issue

My microphone works for every app including Siri via Apple CarPlay yet not for Google maps since my recent IOS update. So every time I activate the microphone in Google Maps via Apple Car Play the response is a notice it didn’t hear me.

Is anyone else having this problem if so what is the resolution I’m on the current iOS update 15.0.1 / iPhone 11 Pro max

Solved my problem with the old Microsoft trick, uninstall/reinstall....

When reinstalling the iPhone asks you to allow access to the microphone, again.

I guess this is what it's coming down to...
