Safari 15 keeps logging me out of several sites every week or so

I was having the same issue in April 2022 and found your question after an online search. Thankfully, I found a solution that worked for me. I had many tabs open and at some point may have opened one or more as a new private tab. While having the auto log out issue, I noticed that if I ctrl-clicked (right-clicked) a link, one of the options was "Open Link in New Private Tab" and that a non-private option was not being given. I copied all my open tab links to a Pages document and closed every tab. I believe when I relaunched Safari that any private tabs were cleared out and it did resolve my issue. Hopefully this solution will help other frustrated users as they too search for a solution and stumble there way here.

This issue still occurs on Safari 15.5 on macOS Monterey 12.4.

As others have mentioned opening the web inspector results in a loss of session cookies resulting in unexpected logouts. Disabling the Develop menu in Safari's advanced preferences is a temporary fix.

It’s unbelievable that this is still an issue. I get signed out of everything on Safari. I try putting these updates off as long as possible because it seems that they just mess things up more when I do them. It is annoying when you hit “keep me signed in” only to have to sign in again. And it is every site, every time.

Hey APPLE if you claim that IOS is so secure and practically un-‘hackable’ then why does your system have to sign us out every time. Shouldn’t we be secure enough to stay signed in?!?!?!

Sad to report that this is still a problem on Safari 15.6.

I opened the console to check, and Safari subsequently logged me out of almost every site.

I started getting this problem today and found this thread. I found one possible solution (at least for me):

In the inspect window under Network, I had checked the little "Ignore the resource cache when loading resources" button. After unchecking this it looks to me like everything is back to normal. No logouts, still developer mode available.

Could be a bug where this setting affects all pages Safari loads, would have to do some more investigating to see what Safari is actually sending to confirm. Hope this trick can help other people out also.

i just looked and mine was not enabled, yet i still experience this bug.

i have been using safari technology preview for the last few months, and have not had the cookie problem with it at all. unfortunately, the latest version of STP (150) has an unrelated back-button bug that is driving me batty. still, i'd rather deal with that than lose my logins all the time.

Same here. New Mac and yet the problem migrated over to this new machine. The first time I accessed Developer Tools, the issue started occurring again. Anyone found a work around? I guess I'm back to Safari Technology Preview.

That isn't very surprising though, of course they build upon their existing technology, it would not make sense to start over each time they release a full version.

What is surprising though, is that they don't give a **** about all of us reporting these bugs and that it is STILL a problem here for developers opening and closing the console.

I have the same issue. I get signed out of various websites only after a few hours. As a web developer using lots of different services this is excruciating.

Not just google sites. For me it’s also: mailgun, laravel forge, mailtrap, twitter and others.

Yes I see it is happening to other sites as well. This must be a common problem.
