Hairline crack on MacBook Air m1

I had recently bought a MacBook Air M1 and was using it for school. One day I was at home doing my homework when I see a tiny hair on my screen so I tried to remove it with a microfiber cloth but I wouldn’t go away so I thought it was a scratch until the next day I saw that it had spread when I made sure that it didn’t have anything in the keyboard or screen. So I used a torchlight and saw that it was a crack on the LCD screen. My concern is that will the crack spread and damage my computer more. I have applecare+ but I still don’t want to waste money on it if it isn’t that serious. So will it spread and damage my computer more or will it just be fine. I just bought a padded laptop transport case but still, better safe the sorry.

Hi,

'Every Mac comes with one year of hardware repair coverage through its limited warrantyand up to 90 days of complimentary technical support. AppleCare+ for Mac extends your coverage from your AppleCare+ purchase date and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage protection every 12 months, each subject to a service fee of $99 for screen damage or external enclosure damage, or $299 for other damage, plus applicable tax.1 In addition, you’ll get 24/7 priority access to Apple experts by chat or phone.'

Go and fix it.
