It looks like I am paying for additional iCloud storage space and it looks like there is a lot there available. Why is this iPad telling me that I am out of space???

It looks like I have a ton of available iCloud storage space which I pay monthly for. Why is my iPad telling me that my iPad has no storage space left? I pay 2.00 each month to apple for extra iCloud space. I do not understand. Please help.

It is impossible to increase the amount of RAM or internal storage in your iPad - as this is fixed during manufacture; what you have is fixed for the life of your device. You can, however, subscribe to a higher tier of iCloud storage - but this is not a substitute for internal storage.

If your internal storage is full, your only option is to better manage the storage that you have - and delete unused Apps or unneeded data.

“Offloading” Apps can be a helpful method of creating temporary space for the software update.

What steps have you taken to leverage your unused iCloud storage to reduce the load on your internal iPad storage? Although they are both named "storage," they are in different locations and used for different things.

It is a little like renting a bigger storage locker from Lockers-R-Us and expecting your house to become less crowded without moving anything to the storage locker.

That is because iCloud storage has nothing to do with your internal storage. That will always be the same size as when you bought it,it cannot be expanded or added. And, iCloud is more of a syncing service, not true storage. Also remember that you should always have a minimum of 3 - 5 GB of empty space so the iOS can function properly. If you fill it up completely, it will stop functioning.
