iPadOS Update Fails (almost) Every Time

Hi this is for my iPad Pro 11 inch (1st get). I have had this for a while and almost every time there is a new iPadOS release the update fails, I get around by updating via laptop, or by doing factory reset and restoring the backup afterwards but its irritating doing this every time. I should have taken it back while it was under warranty but I was lazy about it and now its out of warranty. Is there something I can do to fix this permanently? I know how to update using more hands-on methods and they work but would like this to just work like my other devices.

Thanks

if you are happy with the version you are on, then unless the update is for big security reasons, then try not to update it. Updating is designed to help ensure peak performance, a better looking OS, a smoother, a better running OS, and a safer OS.

but if you have to reset the device back to factory defaults every time, try not to update it.
