Help required with Logic Pro X Automation Bugs

There appears to be two gain automation bugs in Logic Pro X.

a) When I reduce the gain in a section of a region with automation to allow a solo instrument to shine (i.e. create frequency space for the solo instrument), the drop in audio levels is out of sync with the automation I created. If I delete all automation there is no dip in levels.

I spoke with two Logic Pro experts at Apple and they advised that I move the project to another SSD card, however this does not work and try reformatting the disk, but this did not work.

b) The other automation bug I am experiencing is automation spontaneously dropping to -98 when I open the project even though it is set to +5 db in the Inspector

hi,

What is your version of OSX and Logic?

Any third party plugins?

If you run in Low Latency Mode do you have the same issue?

There were some legacy LPX issues with delay compensation not working properly with side-chains, buses and automation. Many of the issues *seem* to have been addressed with recent updates. There have been extensive discussions on logic pro help dot com (no affiliation) on the issues including automation problems.

What are your settings for Preferences : Audio: General

Plug-in Latency Compensation

and

Sample Accurate Automation

Have a read on these settings and try different settings.

I'll watch for a reply.

Hope this helps.

Don
