The last build for OS X 10.9 Mavericks is iTunes 12.6.2.20. This won't be able to sync directly with a device running iOS 15. A potential workaround would be a subscription to Apple Music, but it really is time to look at updating your old OS, or your hardware if it cannot be updated further.

OSX10.9.5, no more update for this computer, I can’t find what version of iTune but seems the latest one for this MacBook. The only musics I purchased online were transferred to my new phone when setting up. The pieces burned from CDs seem unable to sync to new devices.
Thank you!
Thank you so much for your clear answer, I can finally put this frustration behind dealing with the issue. My friend says I can import my music by using an app called Offline Music. Also it should be better to purchase a new Mac than wrestling with my old one. Thank you!!
Although the contents of your instruction seems very professional and too difficult for me, it’s a relief to know there’ll be ways to save my old music files when I get a new computer. At that time I’ll show this instructions of yours to someone more knowledgeable than I to help me to restore iTune files into new computer. I very much appreciate your kindly answering my question!
The real key is to backup your library now such that you can restore it to any replacement computer even if your dies unexpectedly. It is always that much harder to recover data from a machine that won't start up, or worse that you no longer have!
