Screen protector QR codes?

Has anyone had issues with your iPhone screen protector making a QR code (boarding passes) unreadable? I had that issue recently while attempting to board a flight and had to have the loading pass printed. Thanks for any feedback

Prevent black screen on iphone after qr code is scanned Curbside pickup at one major chain store involves the employee scanning the QR code for my order displayed on my iPhone XR. A few seconds after the scan, my screen goes black. The phone is still functional, but I can't see anything, so I do a hard reset to restore the screen's brightness. Is there any other solution to this problem that would allow me to restore the screen brightness without doing a hard reset?

Since Apple doesn't make a 'screen protector', I imagine that's something you would have to take up with whoever made it.

I can easily see how anything with additional anti-glare coating or privacy protection could interfere with any machine reading the screen.
