Add this symbol: ø Is there a way?

Follow up- Go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard tab and enable "Show keyboard and emoji viewers in menu bar".

From there you can locate all the miscellaneous emoji, letters, symbols and such that you want to add to your texts.

In addition to the standard Option-o method, you can press and hold the o key and choose ø from the popup menu that should appear.

option-O = ø
