Crackling/skipping sounds while playing audio from MacBook Pro onto Bose Revolve Plus or AirPods Pro

At times, I notice crackling/skipping sounds while playing audio from my MBP (model 2014), this usually happens with Bluetooth-connected devices, such as Bose Revolve Plus and AirPods Pro. While looking at other blogs and resources in the last couple of years, I've tried almost every possible thing, e.g resetting the Bose speaker, AirPods, Bluetooth Adapter on MBP, reinstalling new iOS but nothing seems to fix audio.

However, while playing with the setting and other features, I was able to find a temporary solution/fix by keeping the Bluetooth (System Preferences > Bluetooth ) window open. It's kind of strange, but this fix is working for me for years, and the audio playback gets back to normal and works every time with both my Bose and AirPods.

I hope it works for you and waiting for Apple to release an iOS update for a permanent fix.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.6
