Downloaded music not transferring to apple

I downloaded an mp3 file yet it's not transferring to my music library, the border highlights red when dragging to drop. Drag and drop also doing nothing. Not transferring to playlist either plz hlp :3

Unable to drag or import MP3 to iTunes Music In the past, I have been dragging MP3s from my desktop to iTunes and they import just fine. I can then rename and add info to them. But today, I am suddenly unable to do this. I drag, get the green + sign, release, but they don't get added.
