iOS 15 Notifications

Prior to iOS 15, I was able to configure notifications so that I could have app badges, but no other notifications — I'm struggling to figure out how to do this since upgrading.

For example — with Mail, I want to see the red counter over the app icon, but do not want incoming mail to show up as badges, on the Lock Screen, or in banners. Previously there was an Alerts option of "None" — you could enable notifications, select None, and turn badges on. Since I updated to iOS 15 I'm suddenly getting items in the Notification Center every time an email comes in. Am I missing something?
