Preserve setting not working

Hi,

I followed the below steps:

Settings > Camera > Preserve Settings > Camera Mode to On

Then I go into the camera app, change the aspect Ratio 16:9 and take a photo. But the setting isn’t persevered when I open the app again.

I’m running Version 15.0.1 on iPhone 13 Pro.

This was the process suggested in a prior response, wondering what I might be doing wrong.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We understand you want the aspect ratio to stay the same when closing and reopening the app. We'll explain.

The Camera Mode wouldn't control aspect ratio. It'd be Creative Controls. This should be in the same area (Settings > Camera > Preserve Settings).
