If it is a display issue— to test, a screen shot comes directly from the GPU—if no lines it point to your Display Assembly.

Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379
