Brand new Macbook Pro 2020
US keyboard input
Colon shows +
Quotation shows *
Apostrophe shows :
Plus sign shows ~
Equals shows ^
Ampersand shows "
Asterisk shows (
Hyphen shows =
Etc.
I:m assuming it:s some kind of keyboard input problem or setting I:m missing. I also installed 3 Japanese keyboards, 1 Vietnamese, and 1 Spanish. It:s not on US international.
Please help, thank you!

It sounds like your machine thinks the keyboard is the Japanese JIS "type", instead of ANSI or ISO.
