MacBook Pro shuts down halfway through login
This is very frustrating. I am running on battery, I get through the login screen after entering my password and the Home Screen begins to load and then everything goes dark. No screen, no response from the keyboard, nothing. I plug in the power adapter and it now responds. The funny thing though, and again disturbing, is the battery indicator reads plenty of battery, not in the red, remaining. In addition to this, when I click on the battery icon to see whats going on it say the adapter is not charging. This all stated happening after the "Big Sur" update was installed. I reloaded the OS "Big Sur" last night as well as did disk first aid to eliminate any problems there and no change. I have plenty of suspicions that the new OS is the issue and not any hardware or the battery itself.
If anyone has some insight please let me know.
