Is the macbook air M1 more powerful than the 2016 macbook pro which has intel inside?
I really don’t like the fact that the new maca support only 1 external screen. Sounds like they are going forward with prices but backwards in tech.

In terms of IO, the 2016 MacBook Pro would have an advantage since it has 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports and can natively support multiple displays.
That said, as a 2016 MacBook Pro owner I can confirm that the M1 MacBook Air destroys the 2016 MPB in all other aspects. Also, it's a safer purchase - the future is Apple silicon; Intel-based Macs are being phased out.

Unfortunately it's a hardware limitation in the M1 chip. Apple might announce some new Macs tomorrow (as mentioned by stedman1), possibly with a new chip inside them. If that's the case, hopefully the new chip doesn't have this limitation.
Yes, the M1 Macs support AirPlay. In the next release of macOS (macOS Monterey), you'll also be able to AirPlay from other Apple devices to your Mac.
Thanks for your reply Encryptor5000. I also own the 2016 MBP and I was wondering if it makes sense to upgrade to Macbook Air M1. Mine has 2 cores and other other is 8 core.
Just not sure about the screen support limitation. I was very disappointed to learn about this.
