I'm a late adopter and recently updated from Mojave to Catalina on a 2018 and a 2019 MBP.
I use the Photos app across all my devices and sync my photos to iCloud (see screen grab).
Since updating, the Photos App has been stuck on "Uploading".
I've found many threads detailing this bug from 2019, but none seem to have been resolved. Does anyone know of a solution?

Ah, I see now that I was simply impatient.
It's taking A LONG time to "sync".
This feels ridiculous in this day and age that this is not a faster process. Is it actually replacing the files on the iCloud server??

How long has it been doing this. It is normal for this to take a few days - even with the mac left on 24/7.
Photos x Catalina... Was this ever fixed?
