Nintendo Switch Pro Controller (MacBook)

Recently, I've been getting into gaming on my MacBook (mainly playing Asphalt 9 and other apps that support the controller), but with the recent macOS Monterey betas that have been rolling out, I've noticed quite some difficulty with pairing my Nintendo Switch Pro Controller to my MacBook.

In the past, it worked with no trouble, but now it recognizes the device as a pair of headphones. Is there a way to force a device to be read as a controller, or is that not possible just yet?
