My new Apple TV 5 keeps dropping whatever program I am watching. It drops it and then cannot return to the same place in the video. I am streaming philo. No other apple tv I have does this. Is this an issue that needs repairing?

Philo just emailed me and has promised I am updating the info from Philo support

version 2.4.6 has been released which should fix the Philo app crashing while streaming a show.

I just updated and I'll report back the results

I contacted Philo support

they are quite aware of the issue. they are working on a fix and will push an update to the Philo app as soon as it is fixed. Philo said they will contact me when the fix is pushed out. I will post a message when Philo has sent one out

Are you streaming within a certain app or is it all streaming services?

You can refer to If you can't watch or stream movies and TV shows in the Apple TV app if the issue occurs in the Apple TV app directly.

You can also refer to If your Apple TV can't connect to Wi-Fi if there is an issue with your Wi-Fi connection.

Let us know if the issue persists after that.

After updating to tvOS 15 Philo app is the only app after a few minutes of watching closes the entire app. Very frustrating
