Screen sounds hollow and noisy when tapping

As soon as I started using my first and new iPhone 12, I was surprised and disappointed by how the screen sounds when tapping on it.

It feels hollow and you can clearly hear every single tap, like it is made of plastic. This is especially true when you tap on the center of the screen, while the corners are much more silent.

I found a lot of users in the net complaining about same experience with their iPhone 12.

Is this normal? Does the newest iPhone 13 have the same issue?

N.B. I know a lot of users are ok with that and don't complain about it.
