I’ve just brought an iphone 13 as a present to my wife. After 2 days of opening the phone we realized a scratch on the screen. My concern is that the screen has a ceramic shield which protect it from scratches like these.
what is apple’s procedure to issues like this ?

Cant you return it and say its not needed? If it came like that then contact them ad see what they say, failing that, return it.
I remember getting an iPOD when the mini first came out and it arrived with a scratch on it, contacted them and they replaced it without questions
Please understand Ceramic Shield does NOT mean the screen cannot be scratched. Ceramic shield can absolutely be scratched. It is less likely to shatter in a fall, which is the value it provides. A screen protector is still highly recommended and in fact Apple sells and installs them all day long in their stores. If you get a new phone and you don't put a screen protector on it, you can fully expect the screen can be scratched.
