No display name with custom email domain

I have set up 2 custom domain names to be used with my e-mails. My full name/display name is stored correctly for both custom emails in my iCloud email settings.

Now, if I send an e-mail message with the mail app on my Macbook Pro, with any of these custom domains, on the receiver's end my full name is not displayed together with my message, only my email address.

If I send messages from my iPad or iPhone with any of these two custom domain accounts, my full name is displayed correctly. So, the issue seems related to the mail app on my MacBook.

Any thoughts?

I followed @bsuk99's steps. Here's my findings (remember I have 2 domains)"

Close mail.app

Manage custom domain (NOTE: I removed domain-1)

remove email address,

Open Mail.app - check address has disappeared

NOTE: Indeed, info@domain-1 has dissappeared. And, completely unexpectedly, mail@domain-2 now suddenly includes the Full Name.

Close mail.app

Manage custom domain,

Add Email address back

Go to webmail > preferences > accounts

Add the full name to the Email address

Reopen Apple Mail

NOTE: info@domain-1 now also has the Full Name

In short, @bsuk99 steps resolve the issue. Simply removing an resubmitting the custom e-mail address in the iCLoud+ settings seem to do the trick.

Thanks for your support bsuk99 and P. Phillips

UPDATE - this is now working for me.

Either Apple have just applied a server side fix, or these steps I tried resolved the issue:

Close mail.app

Manage custom domain,

remove email address,

Open Mail.app - check address has disappeared

Close mail.app

Manage custom domain,

Add Email address back

Go to webmail > preferences > accounts

Add the full name to the Email address

Reopen Apple Mail
