Need to see the DATE on each text message, Not listed as "Monday", "Tuesday", "Today", "Yesterday" etc

I need to see the date on which messages were received. Exact date. I'm tired of keeping my calendar open so I can see which date was Wednesday, which was Thursday, and which was the day before yesterday. I want exactly the dates, not the days of the week. There is a way to do this so that I don't have to sit with my calendar open and check the dates.
