how to retrieve password for my time capsule

IF.....you are able to access the settings on the Time Capsule using AirPort Utility, you can see the password(s) on the Time Capsule as follows:


Open AirPort Utility on your Mac (Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility)

Click on the picture of the Time Capsule and a smaller window will appear

Click Edit

Click the Base Station menu up at the very top of the screen where you see other menus like File, Window, Help, etc.

Click Show Passwords





If you are not able to access the settings on the Time Capsule using AirPort Utility, please follow the instructions in this Apple Support document to perform a Soft Reset to reset the Time Capsule password(s). It might be a good idea to write down the new passwords that you will be using.
