iPhone 13 pro voice cuts and the other person can't hear me

I have an issue where my iphone 13 pro voice cuts out on speakerphone calls, not for me, but for the person on the other phone. Anyone else having this happen? The speaker grilles are clear.

So, after my trip to ATT did not help the issue, I went to the Apple store. The first diagnostic check did not show anything, so I called the “genius” on speakerphone and she was able to hear the problem for herself in person. After that a second diagnostic found the cellular radio was defective. They replaced the 5-week old phone at the Apple store. So far, (day 2), it seems to be working well. If you call Apple support or go to the store, have them listen to you on speakerphone. Worked for me.

I BROKE THE CODE!!! At least for me. I finally realized that the "waterproof" case I bought from Amazon covers all the microphone holes so that no one on the other end can hear you except a very muffled voice from you. I took it off, called a friend, problem solved! I tried every suggestion made in this thread before figuring this out. Check your case and see if it's covering your 3 microphone holes. Good luck!

I have had this issue since getting this new iPhone 13 Pro Max about a month back. I have invested enough time with Apple and AT&T support with no luck. They even asked me to reset the phone. Finally I just converted my SIM to eSIM on my phone and took out the physical SIM from my phone and I have tested making FaceTime calls to family using WiFi as well as Data. No voice cuts anymore. Try it and see if it fixes your issue as well.

I had earlier today used Beats headset while making FaceTime calls. That also fixed the voice cuts.

Solutions to this iphone muffling and cut outs when you use your speakerphone have shown several remedies that fixed the problem for some, but not for others. These solutions have fixed this problem so far:

Update the iOS software on your phone to 15.2.1- Look in settings, general, software update.

Replace the SIM with the eSim ( I don't know how to do this)

Remove your case. Some cases block the microphone and speaker holes, especially if you are using a "waterproof" case. (This was my remedy and at least one other person on this thread.)

If there are any other solutions that have worked please reply. And, could somebody explain how to change the SIM to eSIM. Thanks and good luck all.

Also, there are people on this thread that have tried all these remedies and gone to Apple Genious Bars and/or talked to support and there problem was not solved so there may be some defective phones out there but there must be a lot of them and Apple hasn't acknowledged the problem exists yet.

I received a new IPhone 12. I upgraded from an 8. I use the speaker a lot because I need my hands free at times. Mine broke up to the other person so I tried all the things I found online to try. Nothing worked. I went into Verizon and they couldn’t figure it out so they replaced it. The new phone did the same. I was then sent a 12 from Apple and still had the same issue. They finally upgraded it to a 13 and I’m still having the same issue even after spending an hour on the phone with Apple tech support. Can anyone help me solve this issue ?

So. Apple tells me they will send me 3 new phones but I have to pay upfront 1409 per phone and when I mail the old phones back they will credit me. FOH. Told them no way.
