icloud and storage

So my iCloud says it has used 3.5 out of the 5 gb, so I can’t backup my iPhone. I have deleted lots of photos and apps and still doenst say there’s enough. But when I go on general and “iPhone storage” it says it has 128 gb? so I should have enough for my photos and things. I just don’t understand

Hello, The iPhone Storage you refer to is the amount of memory (storage) on you iPhone not your iCloud Backup. You have the bare minimum iCloud storage of 5GB and you photos you are trying to back up is at 3.4 GB by itself. If you want to use iCloud as your backup you need to subscribe to a bigger storage plan. Here is a support page for Apple iCloud storage plans and prices.
