Mail account is asking for a password

My mail account is asking for a password and I have no clue what to do. I have looked up fixes but they all seemed sketchy, so I wanted to ask you guys since it deals with sensitive information and passwords

It sounds like the mail server is asking for a password. You need to enter that to be able to get or send your mail. If you cannot remember your email account password, you are going to have to contact your email provider and reset the password.
