Mail account is asking for a password

My mail account is asking for a password and I have no clue what to do. I have looked up fixes but they all seemed sketchy, so I wanted to ask you guys since it deals with sensitive information and passwords

Yea it would require the password for the specific mail account.

New App Password:

Try Creating a new App Password. Your App Password may have expired --something typical after update installations. You would log in using that password, rather than your email password. For instance, here Is the site for gmailSign in with App Passwords - Google Account Help - Google
