Safari Web Page content crashing

After upgrade to 11.6 BigSure Safari Web Page content is crashing or can't be loaded (no such problem with Firefox for example). Have changed Auto Play (Allow All Auto Play) and Content Blockers (off) but this not helping a lot. I see some pages can be open but most of them not. Java Runtime has been reinstalled but no improvement.

Hi ArturK_PL,

Since the behavior is isolated to Safari, try disabling all Safari extensions, and test to see whether there's any change. If the previously affected pages load as expected, re-enable each of your extensions one at a time, testing after each. If the pages stop loading normally after enabling a specific extension, you'll have isolated the cause and can remove it. The "Manage your extensions" section of the following page can help with managing your extensions: Get extensions to customize Safari on Mac

We hope this helps!

Thanks for keeping the thread up to date ArturK_PL,

Try booting your Mac into safe mode. That mode will temporarily disable non-essential software from loading with your Mac. Once in safe mode, test to see whether you encounter the same behavior, or if the affected pages load as expected.

Additional information about safe mode, and how to access it is available here: Start up your Mac in safe mode

Take care!

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities ArturK_PL,

We understand you're having trouble loading some pages on your Mac since updating.

If some, but not all pages are loading, the steps on the following page may offer a solution: If Safari on Mac doesn't open a webpage or isn’t working as expected

If the behavior persists, or occurs with most or all websites, try downloading another web browser from the App Store, and testing to see whether you get a different result. If the same issues persist with another browser, that may point to something external to Safari as the cause.

Post your results in the thread, so community members can help plan the best next steps.

Cheers!
