iphone 12 mini battery not recognized all of a sudden

I don't know what to do... My relatively new iphone 12 mini is not charging. It says that it is unable to verify this iphone has a genuine apple battery. What can I do? I have not done anything to the phone, it is just how it was when I bought it from the apple store, but it won't charge past 1%. And yes, I do install updates, it is set to automatically install.
